andrew haussegger

Andrew is Managing Director at Green Hat.

He has been engaged in the ICT industry for 18 years, holding senior marketing and sales management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation and Wang Global. At Green Hat, Andrew has consulted with market leaders such as SingTel Optus, Canon, Telecom New Zealand and Hewlett-Packard, as well as local niche players, on marketing and lead generation strategy – with an emphasis on developing customer acquisition initiatives in chosen target markets as well as identifying new market opportunities.

His marketing focus is on the bottom line – to create and accelerate awareness, interest and demand for his clients' offerings. He developed the LEADtime process to address the challenges clients face in the 'upper-funnel' - being the lead generation and lead development processes. He is a strong advocate of marketing automation and permission-based e-marketing in communicating with ICT buyers.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (IT) and a post graduate Diploma in Business Marketing. He is an active supporter of Australia’s leading ICT association – the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) – and is a local committee member. He has chaired their Victorian e-business committee in the past, and presents at various workshops and events.

He is a die-hard follower of Geelong in the AFL, and is looking forward to a repeat performance of 2007 in 2008!


mark stevens

Mark is a Marketing Principal and NSW Director at Green Hat.

Since entering ICT marketing in 1996, he has held global leadership positions with IBM in New York and Siebel Systems in California. Prior to that, he had senior marketing roles at American Express in Sydney, Hong Kong and London.

Mark's expertise lies in strategic planning and the execution of integrated marketing campaigns. He has extensive experience in the planning and execution of all areas of the marketing mix including brand strategy and positioning, above-the-line advertising, direct response lead generation, web and e-marketing, sales promotion, new product development, key account alliances and loyalty programs.

At Green Hat, Mark uses his strong technology marketing experience in assisting Green Hat clients with strategy for marketing, branding and communications as well as the development of integrated lead generation campaigns.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Sydney, a post graduate marketing qualification and a Masters in Ancient History from Macquarie University in NSW.

He is a keen supporter of Sydney FC, Penrith Rugby League and Chelsea FC and is an opposition speed bump for his Over-35s soccer team - the North Sydney Bears.


caroline leslie

Caroline is Communications Director at Green Hat.

After initially launching her career in marketing in the publishing industry, Caroline has now amassed over 20 years in ICT. Her specialty is communications strategy and key message development - uncovering the value that matters and creating compelling campaigns to deliver our clients' good news.

She has strong ICT domain knowledge, in particular in the segments of networking, convergence, IT security, IT services and outsourcing/consulting. Her wide exposure to technologies comes from experience with vendors, integrators and service providers such as Alcatel, Connect Internet Solutions (AAPT), Memorex Telex and ASX-listed e-security firm eSec. At Green Hat, she has led communications projects for blue-chips such as Optus, Canon and Deloitte, as well as local SME technology businesses.

Caroline blends creativity with her strong problem-solving skills in the design and execution of communications solutions. In directing Green Hat's creative team, she emphasises the need to match communications style with the target audience - and the need to thread key messages throughout the wide range of content created for Green Hat clients.

Caroline is an advisor to the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) on B2B forum initiatives - as well as a prolific reader and an occasional local community activist.

renat gersch

Renat is a Senior Marketing Consultant and best described as a 'strategist' and 'doer'.

Her ICT marketing experience spans over 10 years - predominantly with Zend Technologies, Appswing as well as running her own marketing consultancy in Israel. She held the position of International Marketing Manager for the global Open Source leader Zend - taking their PHP software into new markets in Europe and the USA. At the same company, she was their Online Marketing Manager responsible for her team's penetration of new global markets via the web, SEO and Open Source communities. Prior to this, she was Director of Marketing at Appswing - an innovative mobility middleware provider.

She is an enthusiastic advocate of lead nurturing and the process of generating sales-valued leads. She applies her marketing experience analytically and innovatively in the problem solving and planning phases. At the same time, her understanding of the 'how' in campaign execution and marketing-sales interaction allows her to be pragmatic in her recommendations to clients. Her expertise lies in b2b below-the-line
marketing, specifically the integration of web, email, telemarketing and DM to cultivate 1-to-1 relationships between vendors and prospects.

Renat holds a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Engineering and Management.

She is passionate about maintaining life-work balance, enjoying the challenge of work and the pure pleasure of family.


jane burren

Jane is an accomplished writer and marketing communications professional with more than 10 years ICT experience.

Her undergraduate IT studies and early programming experience give her the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, and communicate effectively with technical experts.

She has worked extensively with multi-national technology companies, including ManageSoft and Nokia, and is experienced in writing both technical and marketing materials for print and online media. Adept at familiarising herself with the corporate ‘voice’, Jane writes compelling copy.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Information Technology, a Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing and a Graduate Certificate in Multimedia.

Jane enjoys travelling in wild and remote areas of Australia and the world.
